iQOO Z11x Review: Big Battery, Better Selfies, and More Muscle Than Expected

The Z11x is a battery-first phone that refuses to be boring everywhere else.

That is what makes it more interesting than the average big-battery budget phone. Usually, once a brand chases a giant battery, the rest of the sheet becomes predictable. The iQOO Z11x avoids that trap more than expected.

It still makes compromises, just different ones. The camera system is basic on the back, the body is heavy, and the display does not get AMOLED privilege. But the chipset, selfie camera, storage type, and Wi-Fi version suggest iQOO wanted this phone to feel more capable than just another endurance brick.

A 6.76-inch 120Hz FHD+ panel at 382ppi gives the Z11x enough sharpness to avoid feeling cheap. The listed 1200 nits brightness also helps the panel stay credible in everyday use.

The compromise is simpler than that though: this is still an LCD. For some buyers, that is fine. For others, it means the phone never fully shakes the feeling of being a practical budget device rather than a more ambitious mid-range one.

The everyday story is practical, not polished.

The Z11x gives you a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and an IR blaster, which is a useful little extras package. That part is hard to complain about.

The bigger issue is physical bulk. At 219 grams, this is not a subtle phone. There is also no listed water resistance and no NFC. So while the battery and internals look generous, the finish still lands closer to practical than polished.

The support promise is decent, but not a standout reason to choose it.

Android 16 with Origin OS, plus 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates, is acceptable. It is enough to keep the ownership story respectable without turning software support into a major selling point.

That feels about right for the rest of the phone too. The Z11x is less about refinement and more about making the hardware count where buyers notice it immediately.
