Ai+ Pulse 2 FE Launched in India at Rs. 9,999: 120Hz, IP64 and a Sibling Problem
Ai+ launched the Pulse 2 FE in India on 28 September, and it went on sale on 7 October at Rs. 9,999 for its only configuration, 4GB + 64GB. It is a 4G phone with a MediaTek Helio G81, a 6.67-inch 120Hz screen, a 5,000mAh battery, an IP64 rating, a headphone jack and a memory card slot. The part worth reading twice: its own older sibling, the Ai+ Pulse 2, sells for about the same money with a bigger battery and, at Rs. 9,999, twice the storage.

The basics, done properly, under Rs. 10,000.
For a phone at Rs. 9,999 this is a tidy sheet. The 6.67-inch screen refreshes at up to 120Hz, so scrolling feels smooth. IP64 means dust-tight and protected against splashes from any direction, which is what a monsoon commute actually asks for. There is a dedicated memory card slot, so the 64GB of storage can grow without giving up a SIM, and a headphone jack for the wired earphones in the drawer. At 191g it is light for a 5,000mAh phone.
2 details are worth knowing before you order. The phone supports 18W charging, but the charger in the box is 10W, so filling the battery at full speed needs a separate adapter. And it is 4G only: calls, UPI and streaming all work on 4G, but the phone will never use a 5G network, however long you keep it. Ai+ has not published an update commitment, so we are not printing one.
The FE costs as much as the phone it is meant to sit under.
An "FE" usually means the cheaper version. Here is what the shelf says on the day of writing. The Ai+ Pulse 2, launched in March, lists between Rs. 8,500 and Rs. 10,500 for 4GB + 64GB, and one major retailer sells its 4GB + 128GB at the same Rs. 9,999 as the Pulse 2 FE.
| Spec | Pulse 2 FE | Pulse 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Price, 4GB + 64GB | About Rs. 10,000 | Rs. 8,500 to Rs. 10,500 |
| Chipset | Helio G81, 2.0GHz | Unisoc T7250, 1.8GHz |
| Battery | 5,000mAh | 6,000mAh |
| Screen | 6.67-inch 120Hz LCD, punch-hole | 6.745-inch 120Hz LCD, notch |
| Storage options | 64GB only | 64GB or 128GB |
| Same on both | IP64, 50MP dual rear camera, 8MP front, Android 16, 4G only | |
What the FE adds is a faster chip on paper, a punch-hole instead of a notch, and a smaller, lighter body. What it gives up is 1,000mAh of battery and the 128GB option, at the same money or more. If the smaller phone and the newer chip matter to you, the FE is the one. If battery and storage matter more, the Pulse 2 is the better buy today.
The Ai+ Pulse 2 FE gets the basics right for Rs. 9,999: a 120Hz screen, IP64, a headphone jack, a card slot and a light body. Its problem is family. The Pulse 2 sells at about the same price with a 6,000mAh battery and, at Rs. 9,999, 128GB of storage. Pick the FE for the smaller body and the newer chip; pick the Pulse 2 for the battery and the space.
A tidy 4G phone for Rs. 9,999. Its sibling offers more for the same money.
A step up in the same family: Ai+ Nova 2 Ultra 5G review. What is worth buying in the next band: best phones under Rs. 15,000.
Specifications are confirmed against the maker's India store and at least 1 independent India launch report; where sources disagreed or said nothing, such as the second rear camera, the brightness and the build material, we left the figure out. Prices are live listings for each phone's 4GB + 64GB model at major Indian retailers, checked on 8 October 2026. Our verdicts are based on published specification, not on hands-on testing: we have not held this phone.
