The iQOO Z11xa 5G is not a new phone. It is the iQOO Z11x, which is also sold as the vivo T5x, offered in a single 8GB + 128GB configuration. That makes it the most sensible way to buy a genuinely solid design: a 7,200mAh battery, IP68 and IP69, a Dimensity 7400 Turbo and 4 years of security patches, at about Rs. 29,000, roughly Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 above the 6GB versions of its twins. If this is the phone you want, buy it with this badge. Just know that the design itself now costs a lot more than it did in March.

There are 3 ways to buy this phone in India, and the newest one is the best of them.
In March 2026, iQOO launched the Z11x and vivo launched the T5x, within days of each other, with the same chip, the same 7,200mAh battery, the same 6.76-inch screen, the same 219g weight and the same starting price of Rs. 18,999. One phone, 2 stickers. On 7 September, iQOO added a third: the Z11xa, which India launch coverage describes as a Z11x whose main difference is its memory. It comes in a single configuration, 8GB of RAM with 128GB of storage, at Rs. 28,999, and went on sale on 14 September.
Rs. 28,999 against Rs. 18,999 looks like a Rs. 10,000 premium for 2GB of RAM. It is not, and the reason is the most useful thing on this page.
The badge did not get expensive. The phone did.
The Z11x that launched at Rs. 18,999 for 6GB + 128GB is listed today at Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 28,000 for that same 6GB model, 43% above its own launch price. iQOO revised its list prices upward over the summer, and the vivo T5x moved with it: its 6GB model is about Rs. 28,000 at a major retailer today. Nothing about either phone changed in between.
So the Z11xa was born at the price its siblings had to climb to. Line the 3 up on today's listings and the arithmetic turns around: the xa costs about Rs. 29,000 with 8GB, and the twins cost Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 28,000 with 6GB. Roughly Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 buys you a third more memory on an otherwise identical phone. On a device you will plausibly keep for the full 4 years of patches, that is the cheapest upgrade in the family.
The Z11xa's Rs. 28,999 is its launch price, and today's listings sit right on it, about Rs. 29,000 at 2 major retailers. The Z11x's and T5x's Rs. 18,999 is their March launch price, labelled as such. Every other figure here is a live listing for the base model on the day of writing.
7,200mAh, and it can go in the bucket.
Take the price history away and this is a well judged phone. 7,200mAh is more battery than 9 in 10 phones on sale here, and 44W charging is quick enough that the size is a convenience rather than an overnight chore. IP68 and IP69 is the strongest ingress rating a phone can carry: dust-tight, rated for submersion, and rated against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. For a monsoon commute, a construction site or a kitchen, that is a more useful spec than any number on the camera.
The Dimensity 7400 Turbo is a sensible mid-range chip, comfortably ahead of the Dimensity 6300 class that fills the cheaper end of this band. The screen is a 1080p LCD at 120Hz, sharp and smooth, though without the contrast of an AMOLED. The 32MP front camera is generous at this money, and the main camera records 4K.
Software support is where the numbers are least kind. 2 Android upgrades and 4 years of security patches rates better than only 17% of the phones we can score on it, because the leaders now promise 6 years or more. It is still a year more patching than the realme P4x below offers, and with 8GB fitted as standard, the hardware has a better chance of still feeling comfortable in year 4.
Put together, it is better specified than 37% of the 206 phones we track on sale in India: a battery near the top, a front camera well above the middle, and a screen, rear camera and software promise that sit below it. The Z11x and T5x share every one of those bars.
One camera that counts, and an LCD at Rs. 29,000.
The rear camera is a 50MP main sensor beside a 2MP bokeh unit. That second sensor adds no focal length you would ever choose, so in practice this is a one-camera phone: no ultrawide, no telephoto, and no optical stabilisation. At 219g, it is also a heavy phone, which is the honest cost of 7,200mAh.
The bigger question is the screen. At about Rs. 29,000, a 1080p LCD is now a choice rather than a given, because AMOLED panels are available for less.
The best badge for this design is not the only answer.
realme P4x, about Rs. 24,000 for 6GB + 128GB today. A Dimensity 7400 Ultra, a 1080p LCD at 144Hz, and 7,000mAh at 45W. On paper it matches the Z11xa on chip class and battery, refreshes faster, and costs about Rs. 5,000 less. What it gives up is 2GB of RAM, a year of security patches (3 against 4), and the water rating: IP64 covers splashes, not submersion. Our realme P4x review has the detail.
POCO M8, Rs. 21,500 to Rs. 24,500 for 6GB + 128GB. A curved AMOLED at 120Hz, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 5,520mAh at 45W, IP66, and a longer software promise than anything else here. It is the better screen and the longer runway for Rs. 5,000 or more less. It is not the bigger battery, and IP66 is not IP69. See our POCO M8 review.
And the twins themselves. If 6GB is enough for you, the iQOO Z11x at Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 28,000 and the vivo T5x at about Rs. 28,000 are the same hardware for a little less. Our iQOO Z11x review and vivo T5x review were written when the family was cheaper; the phone they describe is this one.
So the honest ranking is this: the Z11xa is the best way to buy this design, and this design is the right buy for someone who needs the battery and the water rating more than the screen.
- You have already chosen the Z11x or T5x design: this badge gets you 8GB for about Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 more
- Water, dust and rough handling are part of your day: IP68 and IP69 is as good as it gets
- You want 2-day battery capacity and plan to keep the phone for 4 years
- You watch a lot of video: an AMOLED costs less elsewhere
- You want more than one useful rear camera
- A 219g phone sounds heavy to you, because it is
For the wider field at this money, our best battery phones between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 and best display phones in the same band rank the alternatives.
Consider it, and if you are buying this design, buy this version. The iQOO Z11xa 5G is the Z11x and the vivo T5x with 8GB fitted as standard, and at about Rs. 29,000 it costs only Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 more than the 6GB versions of its twins. The design is strong where it matters for a hard-working phone: 7,200mAh, IP68 and IP69, and 8GB as standard. What holds it back from a straight recommendation is the price the whole family now carries, which puts a 1080p LCD and one useful rear camera up against cheaper phones with better screens. Judged on published specification, not on a hands-on test.
The Z11x and the vivo T5x with 8GB built in, for about Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000 more. The right badge for a sound design, at a price the whole family has outgrown.
