Best Fast Charging Phones Between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000 in India (2026)

The PublicBuy Take

The fastest half-charge we can actually verify between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000 does not come from a 45W phone. It comes from a 33W one. Xiaomi says the Redmi 15C 5G goes to 50% in about 28 minutes, and it lists at about Rs. 18,000 today. None of the 45W phones in this band publishes a charge time at all. So this list does something slightly unfashionable: it ranks on minutes where a maker will commit to them, and on watts only where nobody will. We priced every candidate against live listings on 17 October 2026, and 6 made the cut.

00 - What fast actually means

Watts are the speed limit. Minutes are the journey.

A wattage is a ceiling, not a speed. 45W is the most power the charger and phone will ever agree to move, and they only hold anything like it while the battery is low. Past the halfway mark every phone slows down to protect the cell. So 2 phones with the same 45W rating can finish minutes apart.

A bigger battery takes longer to fill. 45W into 6,500mAh and 45W into 8,000mAh are not the same experience. The bigger tank lasts longer and refills slower. Neither is wrong; they suit different days.

So the honest number is minutes, and most makers will not give you one. Of the 12 phones we checked in or near this band, only 3 makers publish a time to 50%: Xiaomi for the Redmi 15C 5G, POCO for the M7 Plus, and vivo for the Y21, which has since climbed out of the band. Where a maker publishes a time, we use it. Where it does not, we rank on the watts, the battery they have to fill, and what comes in the box. Every time below is the maker's own lab figure. We have not timed any of these phones ourselves.

Only phones you can order today

Every pick below had a live, orderable listing for its base model at a major Indian retailer on 17 October 2026, and every price is that listing, not a launch price. 2 more strong chargers sit at the edges of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000, or have a price too unsettled to rank, and they are named near the end.

01 - The Winner

Redmi 15C 5G - about Rs. 18,000

Why it wins: 50% in about 28 minutes from a 33W charger, by the maker's own figure, and the charger is in the box. That is the fastest half-charge any maker in this band will put its name to. The battery is 6,000mAh, so a lunch break on the cable is most of an afternoon back. It also does 10W reverse wired charging, enough to rescue earbuds.

The useful part: the Redmi shares its battery, charging, Dimensity 6300 and 6.9-inch 120Hz screen with the POCO C85 5G, which is no longer on sale. On 17 October the Redmi listed at about Rs. 18,000 at 1 major retailer.

Who it suits: anyone who charges in short bursts, at a desk, in a car, between meetings. The catch: 6,000mAh is the smallest battery here, and the screen is a 720p LCD. It is a quick refill, not the biggest tank.

02 - The Biggest Tank at Full Speed

POCO M8x 5G - Rs. 17,500 to Rs. 19,000

Why it earned the spot: 7,900mAh, the second-largest battery on this list, behind a 45W charger that comes in the box, plus 22.5W reverse wired charging, which is genuinely fast enough to top up another phone. That combination is the strongest overall charging package in the band.

Who it suits: the heavy user who wants to charge once a day and occasionally lend power to a friend. The catch: POCO publishes no charge time, and a battery this big at 45W will not match the Redmi's half-hour sprint. The screen is a 6.9-inch 720p LCD at 120Hz. Our POCO M8x 5G review covers the rest, and the same phone is also sold as the Redmi 17 5G, as our Redmi 17 5G review explains.

03 - The Most Charger Per Milliamp-Hour

OPPO K14x 5G - Rs. 16,500 to Rs. 19,000

Why it earned the spot: 45W SUPERVOOC into a 6,500mAh battery, with the OPPO charger in the box. That is more charging power for every milliamp-hour than the bigger-battery phones above it, which on paper favours a quick refill, though OPPO publishes no time to prove it.

A detail worth knowing: the full 45W needs OPPO's own SUPERVOOC brick. OPPO lists third-party PPS chargers at up to 33W. Keep the one in the box. Who it suits: anyone who wants fast charging from a big brand at the bottom of this band. The catch: the base model is 4GB + 64GB, which is tight in 2026. Our OPPO K14x 5G review has the rest. The OPPO A6x shares its charging and battery specification, but listed at about Rs. 20,000 on 17 October, so the K14x is the cheaper way to the same charge.

04 - The Only Full-Charge Time

POCO M7 Plus - about Rs. 20,000

Why it earned the spot: it is the one phone here whose maker tells you how long a full charge takes: 2% to 100% in about 90 minutes, and 2% to 50% in 40 minutes, from a 33W charger in the box into a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery. It also has 18W reverse wired charging.

Who it suits: the buyer who plugs in overnight but wants an honest number for the mornings they forget. It also has the best screen here, a 6.9-inch 1080p LCD at up to 144Hz. The catch: 40 minutes to half is slower than the Redmi, and at about Rs. 20,000 it sits at the top of the band. Our POCO M7 Plus review has more.

05 - The One That Takes Any Charger

realme C100X - about Rs. 18,000

Why it earned the spot: 45W SUPERVOOC into an 8,000mAh battery, the biggest here, with the charger in the box. And realme is the only maker on this list that says a third-party 45W PPS charger reaches full speed, so a spare brick from any decent brand works at full rate. realme's own figure is 5 minutes of charging for 4 hours of calls.

The catch, and it is a big one: the C100X is 4G only, on a Unisoc T7250, with 4GB + 64GB as its only configuration. Who it suits: someone who wants the biggest, most flexible charging setup and genuinely does not need 5G. Everyone else should read section 01 again.

06 - The Fair Outsider

Tecno Spark 50 5G - Rs. 16,500 to Rs. 17,500

Why it earned the spot: 45W into 6,500mAh, the same ratio as the OPPO, on a Dimensity 6400 that is a small step up from the Dimensity 6300 in most phones here. 2 major retailers had orderable listings on 17 October.

The catch: Tecno's India pages do not tell us whether the charger is in the box, and we could not confirm it elsewhere. Check before you buy, because a 45W phone on a 10W brick is a 10W phone. Our Tecno Spark 50 5G review has the rest.

07 - Just Outside the Band

2 strong chargers at the edges of the band.

vivo Y21 5G, about Rs. 21,000. 44W, and vivo publishes 1% to 50% in 36 minutes, with the charger in the box. It would rank second here on minutes. vivo raised its list price to Rs. 20,999 and the street followed. Our vivo Y21 5G review has more.

realme Narzo 90x, about Rs. 22,000. 60W into 7,000mAh with bypass charging, the fastest-charging phone we found near this money. On 17 October 1 major retailer listed its base model at about Rs. 19,000, inside this band, while the other listed only a dearer variant above Rs. 20,000. With its price moving that much, we have not ranked it; if you find the base model under Rs. 20,000 on the day, it belongs on your shortlist. See our realme Narzo 90x review. By 27 October the base model listed at about Rs. 22,000, above this band.

08 - Pick by how you charge

Sprint, tank, or flexibility.

Short bursts
  • Redmi 15C 5G: 50% in about 28 minutes
  • OPPO K14x 5G: 45W into a smaller battery
Charge once a day
  • POCO M8x 5G: 7,900mAh at 45W, 22.5W reverse
  • POCO M7 Plus: full in about 90 minutes, 1080p screen
  • realme C100X: 8,000mAh, any 45W PPS charger, but 4G only

The Verdict

Redmi 15C 5G. It has the fastest half-charge any maker in this band will commit to, about 28 minutes, at about Rs. 18,000. If you would rather charge less often than charge faster, the POCO M8x 5G puts 7,900mAh behind 45W. And if a maker will not tell you how long its 45W takes, that silence is worth noticing.

Fewer watts, fewer minutes. Buy the Redmi 15C.

How we priced and checked this

Prices are for each phone's base model, read from live listings at major Indian retailers on 17 October 2026; where only 1 retailer could confirm an orderable listing, the price is shown as about a figure. Charging figures, charge times and box contents are the makers' own published claims for their India models, each checked against at least 1 independent source; where a maker publishes no time, we print none. Our ranking is based on published specification, not hands-on testing: we have not held or timed these phones.
