Below a lakh, Indian phone prices spent 2026 climbing. Above it, they mostly sat still. Of the 9 picks here, 5 sell today at exactly their launch price, 1 is on pre-order at its launch price, 2 sell for less, and only 1 costs more, because its maker raised the list. Our best overall is the vivo X300 Pro, at about Rs. 1,20,000: a 200MP periscope camera, a 6,510mAh battery, IP68 and IP69, and 5 years of Android upgrades. The best-specified phone in India, of the 219 we track on sale, is the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, at about Rs. 1,70,000. Between them sit a battery champion, a zoom specialist, a Samsung, a Pixel, 2 iPhones and a foldable. At this money nobody is buying a phone that works. You are buying the one thing it does better than anything else. Pick the thing first.

We started from the phones our price records place above Rs. 1,00,000 and re-read every one at major retailers on 25 October 2026. One flagship was not orderable anywhere that day, and another was sold by only one retailer whose price we do not print on its own. Older models fell out where a newer pick does the same job. Apple's India store no longer sells the iPhone 17 Pro or 17 Pro Max, so the listings still carrying them are clearing old stock, and a guide meant to stay useful should not send you after a phone its maker has stopped selling. What is left is 9 picks, each the right answer to one question.
Where 2 major retailers list a phone at different prices, we print the range between them. Where they agree, or only one sells it, we print one figure as "about". Launch and list prices are labelled. "Better specified than" compares a phone's published specifications against the 219 phones we have verified on sale in India as of 25 October 2026; it is a measure of the sheet, not a test result. We have not used these phones.
vivo X300 Pro
About Rs. 1,20,000 for 16GB + 512GB, its only configuration. vivo launched it at Rs. 1,09,999 in December 2025 and raised the list to Rs. 1,19,999 in July, which is where the shop sits now. For that you get a Dimensity 9500, a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED, a 6,510mAh battery at 90W wired and 40W wireless, IP68 and IP69, and a camera set of a stabilised 50MP main, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 200MP periscope at 85mm, also stabilised. vivo promises 5 years of Android upgrades and 7 years of security updates. It is better specified than 85% of the phones we track.
It is 226g, which is the price of the battery and the periscope, and its 1.5K screen is a step below the QHD panels further down this list. But no other phone here offers this much camera, battery and promise for about Rs. 1,20,000. Our vivo X300 Pro review calls it the sensible way to buy a big zoom, and it still is.
OPPO Find X9 Ultra
About Rs. 1,70,000 for 12GB + 512GB, its launch price, at 2 major retailers. 4 picture-taking cameras: a stabilised 200MP main, a 50MP ultra-wide, a stabilised 200MP 3x telephoto and a stabilised 50MP 10x periscope at 230mm. No other phone in this guide reaches that far optically. Behind it sit a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.82-inch QHD+ AMOLED, a 7,050mAh silicon-carbon battery at 100W wired and 50W wireless, IP66, IP68 and IP69, and a maker promise of 5 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. It is better specified than every other phone we track on sale in India.
It weighs 235g or more and it is the most expensive non-folding phone on this list. If you want almost the same idea for Rs. 10,000 less, the vivo X300 Ultra sells for about Rs. 1,60,000 for 16GB + 512GB, its launch price: 200MP at 35mm, a 50MP ultra-wide and a 200MP periscope at 85mm, 6,600mAh at 100W, IP68 and IP69, and the same 5 and 7 year promise as the X300 Pro. It ranks better than 97% of the field. The OPPO's 10x lens is the difference, and only you know whether you shoot that far.
OPPO Find X10
About Rs. 1,40,000 for 12GB + 256GB, its launch price, on pre-order with sales from 29 October. An 8,000mAh battery, the largest of any non-folding phone in this guide, at 80W wired and 50W wireless, in a 6.59-inch body of 216g. That last number is the achievement: the biggest battery in this guide, in a flagship about 20g lighter than the Find X9 Ultra. Add a Dimensity 9600M, a 200MP stabilised main, a 50MP ultra-wide, a stabilised 200MP periscope and IP66, IP68 and IP69. It is better specified than 95% of the phones we track.
The gap is software: OPPO has published no update promise for it in India. It is also brand new, launched on 22 October, so nobody has lived with it yet. Our Find X10 launch report has the rest of the sheet.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra
About Rs. 1,40,000 for 16GB + 512GB, its launch price. A 50MP main camera on a 1-inch sensor, stabilised, beside a 50MP ultra-wide and a stabilised 200MP periscope with continuous optical zoom from 75mm to 100mm. Most telephoto lenses have one fixed focal length; this one moves anywhere between 75mm and 100mm. A Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.9-inch OLED, 6,000mAh at 90W wired and 50W wireless, IP68 and 218g. Better specified than 83% of the phones we track.
Xiaomi's India pages state no update promise, so we print none. And at the same price the Find X10 brings 2,000mAh more, though with 12GB and 256GB against the Xiaomi's 16GB and 512GB. Buy the Xiaomi if the camera is the reason you are spending this much and the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is out of reach.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra
Listings sit between Rs. 1,29,000 and Rs. 1,40,000 for 12GB + 256GB, against Rs. 1,39,999 at launch. 4 rear cameras: a 200MP main, a 50MP ultra-wide, a 10MP 3x telephoto and a 50MP 5x periscope, which makes it one of only 2 phones here with 2 optical telephotos. A 6.9-inch QHD+ AMOLED, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, IP68, and 7 Android upgrades with security updates until February 2033. On rear camera hardware it is better specified than 99% of the phones we track.
Overall it sits at 67%, held back mostly by a 5,000mAh battery, smaller than about 80% of the market, and a 214g body. It charges at 60W wired. One retailer is about Rs. 10,000 under launch, so shop around. Our Galaxy S26 Ultra review has the full case.
Google Pixel 11 Pro, or the Pro XL for the bigger battery
The Pixel 11 Pro is about Rs. 1,20,000 for 12GB + 256GB, and the Pro XL about Rs. 1,35,000; both are their launch prices. Both carry a Tensor G6, a 50MP main, a 48MP ultra-wide and a stabilised 48MP 5x telephoto, IP68, and Google's 7 years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. The Pro is a 6.3-inch, 204g phone with 4,850mAh at 30W. The XL is 6.8 inches and 226g, with 5,115mAh at 45W. They rank better than 78% and 80% of the phones we track.
The batteries are the weak row on both, and the Pro's is in the bottom tenth of the market on capacity. Buy a Pixel for the software and the length of its support, and choose the size by your hand, not the spec sheet. Our Pixel 11 Pro review has the detail.
Apple iPhone 18 Pro
About Rs. 1,65,000 for 256GB, its launch price. An A20 Pro, a 6.3-inch 120Hz display, and 3 rear cameras, all 48MP: a main with a variable aperture, an ultra-wide and a 4x telephoto at 100mm. IP68, 211g. The India model keeps its SIM tray, and with it a 4,056mAh battery, smaller than the eSIM-only version sold elsewhere.
On the spec sheet that adds up to 50%, with a battery larger than only about 5% of the market and no published update count. If you live on an iPhone, an iPad and a Mac, none of that will move you, and it should not. Our iPhone 18 Pro review weighs what the extra money over last year buys, and when the 17 Pro, while retail stock lasts, is the smarter buy.
Apple iPhone Air
About Rs. 1,20,000 for 256GB at the one major retailer selling it, against Apple's own list price of Rs. 1,49,900. Apple launched it at Rs. 1,19,900 and raised the list in September, so the shop is now about Rs. 30,000 cheaper than Apple. It is the only phone here whose maker raised the price while the shop kept the old one. The Air is 5.64mm thick and 165g, with an A19 Pro, a 6.5-inch 120Hz display and IP68. On one-handed size it beats 98% of the phones we track.
What it gives up is the rest: a single 48MP camera with no ultra-wide and no telephoto, a 3,149mAh battery, the smallest of the 219 phones we track on sale, and eSIM only, India included. It is a phone for someone who wants to forget it is in a pocket. At the shop's price rather than Apple's, that is a fair trade.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7
Listings sit between Rs. 1,37,000 and Rs. 1,64,000 for 12GB + 256GB, against Rs. 1,74,999 at launch. At the bottom of its range, it is the cheapest book-style foldable in this guide. An 8-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a 200MP main, a 12MP ultra-wide and a 10MP 3x telephoto, in a body 215g, 8.9mm folded and 4.2mm open. Samsung dates its security updates to July 2032, and launch coverage reported 7 Android upgrades.
The sheet ranks it at 39%, because a 4,400mAh battery at 25W is small for 2 screens, and IP48 protects against water but only against solid objects larger than 1mm, not dust. The gap between the 2 retailers is more than Rs. 25,000, so check both. Want more? The Pixel 11 Pro Fold, about Rs. 1,87,000, is the only foldable here with IP68 and has 7 years of updates; the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, about Rs. 1,95,000, carries 5,000mAh in the same 215g; and the vivo X Fold 6, about Rs. 2,20,000, has 6,900mAh and a 3x periscope. Our Pixel 11 Pro Fold review and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra review cover the next steps up.
Which one should you actually buy?
With about Rs. 1,20,000 and no single priority, buy the vivo X300 Pro. If the camera is everything, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra, or the vivo X300 Ultra for Rs. 10,000 less. If battery comes first, the OPPO Find X10. If you want the zoom to slide, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. 2 telephotos and a Samsung badge, the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Google's software, a Pixel 11 Pro sized to your hand. An iPhone household, the iPhone 18 Pro, or the iPhone Air if lightness matters more than cameras. And 2 screens in one pocket, the Galaxy Z Fold7.
