Here is an odd thing to say about a 14-month-old phone: in 2 rows that matter, it beats its own replacement. The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has a bigger battery than the Pixel 11 Pro XL, 5,200mAh against 5,115mAh, and more memory on the base model, 16GB against 12GB. It also costs about Rs. 10,000 less. What it has not done is get cheaper: on 22 October a major retailer listed it at Rs. 1,24,999, its launch price to the rupee. The only lower offer we found was a third-party seller with 2 units left at Rs. 1,15,999. Consider it if you want the big Pixel and value battery and memory over the newer zoom. Do not count on a discount for its age.

Newer is not the same as more.
The honest way to read this phone is against the 2 newer Pro Pixels on sale beside it. The prices are live listings from 22 October.
Read down the columns and the picture is clear. The Pixel 11 Pro XL's improvements are real but narrow: a newer chip, a larger telephoto sensor, a brighter panel and 6g less weight. It gives back 85mAh and 4GB of memory on the base model, and asks Rs. 10,000 more. The smaller Pixel 11 Pro costs about Rs. 5,000 less than this phone, but it is the small one, with 350mAh less battery and 30W charging.
The big Pixel that kept its battery.
The endurance package. 5,200mAh is the largest battery Google has put in any of these 3, and 45W wired with 25W magnetic wireless matches the highest charging wattage Google has put in any Pixel. Google quotes about 70% in 30 minutes with a 45W adapter, which you buy separately.
The cameras. A 50MP main on a large 1/1.3-inch sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide with autofocus for close-ups, and a 48MP 5x telephoto with stabilisation. The 11 Pro XL keeps the same main, ultra-wide and front cameras. Only its telephoto sensor is bigger.
The screen. 6.8 inches at 1344 x 2992, LTPO from 1 to 120Hz, and 3,300 nits at peak. The 11 Pro XL's panel is brighter, at 3,600 nits peak, but this one was never dim.
The years. 7 years of Android, security and feature updates. It launched on Android 16 and has already moved to Android 17.
A price that forgot to age.
Most flagships in India drift in one direction or another after a year. This one sat still. It launched at Rs. 1,24,999 for 16GB and 256GB, its only Indian variant, and that is what one major retailer listed on 22 October. The only cheaper offer we found was a third-party seller at another, with 2 units left at Rs. 1,15,999. We could not confirm that seller's warranty terms, and 2 units is not a price to plan around. So you pay a 2025 price for a 2025 chip, and the 7-year update clock started counting in August 2025, a year before the Pixel 11 Pro XL's.
Smaller points. Battery Share, the reverse wireless charging older Pixels had, is gone from the whole Pixel 10 family. Satellite SOS is not available in India. 8K video is processed in Google's cloud through Video Boost, not on the phone. And at 232g this is a heavy phone, the heaviest of the 3 here.
Outside the Pixel family.
Our Pixel 11 Pro review covers the smaller, newer option in depth. If you want Google's camera and software without the Pro price, the Pixel 10 keeps a 5x telephoto, at 10.8MP, for far less. And outside Google, the Galaxy S25 Ultra sells for Rs. 91,000 to Rs. 97,000, with a 6.9-inch screen, an S Pen and 2 telephotos, more than Rs. 25,000 under this phone.
- You want a big Pixel and care about battery more than zoom
- You want 16GB of memory without paying for 512GB
- You charge on a magnetic wireless pad
- You want Google's 7 years of updates in a big body
- You expected a phone this old to cost much less than launch
- Zoom photography is the reason you buy a Pro
- You want the longest update window money can buy
- You would rather carry a lighter phone
Consider, for the big-Pixel buyer who reads the table. The Pixel 10 Pro XL is the rare older flagship that holds rows over its successor: more battery, more memory, the same main cameras and the same 45W, for about Rs. 10,000 less than the Pixel 11 Pro XL. That makes it the sensible big Pixel today. What keeps it from a full recommendation is the price itself, still at launch at the main listing, and a field outside Google where less money buys a bigger battery, faster charging or a second telephoto. If you are set on a Pixel and the 6.8-inch size, buy this one rather than the 11 Pro XL unless the zoom is your reason. If you are not set on a Pixel, look around first.
More battery and memory than its successor. Rs. 10,000 less, and still listed at its launch price.
