Walk up to an OPPO counter with about Rs. 68,000 and you will be offered 2 phones with the same chip, the same cameras and the same name, give or take a word. The OPPO Reno15 Pro is the bigger one: a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED, a 200MP main camera with a 3.5x telephoto, 6,500mAh with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, IP66, IP68 and IP69, NFC and an IR blaster, at 205g and 7.65mm. It costs about Rs. 68,000 for 12GB + 256GB, the same as its January launch price. Nothing about it is loud. Almost nothing about it is missing. Buy it if you want one phone that does every ordinary thing well, and choose it over the Mini unless small is the point.

No headline, and very few gaps.
4 cameras, and every one of them is 50MP or more. The main camera is 200MP with OIS. The telephoto is 50MP at 3.5x optical, with its own OIS, and the ultra-wide is 50MP with autofocus. The selfie camera is also 50MP with autofocus and records 4K at 60fps, which matters more than it sounds if your calls and reels happen on the front of the phone. There is no 2MP passenger on this spec sheet.
The charging list is complete. 80W wired, and 50W wireless on top of it. Wireless charging is not a given at this price, as the Xiaomi 17T below shows by leaving it out, and 50W is fast for it.
It is built for an Indian monsoon. IP66, IP68 and IP69 together cover strong jets, submersion and high-pressure, high-temperature water. Add Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front, an aluminium frame and a glass back, all in 7.65mm and 205g. Thin, sealed and light is a hard combination, and this phone holds all 3.
The small useful things are here. NFC for tap-to-pay, an IR blaster for the air conditioner remote you lost in 2024, and 6 years of security updates. OPPO also promises 5 major ColorOS version updates, in its own wording.
Where the Rs. 68,000 shows its edges.
The storage is a step behind the chip. The Dimensity 8450 is a capable 4nm part with 12GB of LPDDR5X, but the storage is UFS 3.1. The Xiaomi 17T, about Rs. 2,000 dearer, uses UFS 4.1. It is not a daily annoyance; it is a spec that tells you where OPPO saved.
The zoom stops at 3.5x. That is a good portrait length and a short distance length. If you shoot stages, stadiums or wildlife, a 5x lens reaches further, and the phone below has one.
Wi-Fi 6, not 7. Fine on almost any Indian home router today. Worth knowing only if you are buying for the next 5 years and the next router.
Pro, or Pro Mini.
OPPO Reno15 Pro Mini launched at Rs. 59,999 for 12GB + 256GB, Rs. 8,000 under the Pro's launch price. It shares the chip, the memory, every camera, the 80W wired charging and all 3 IP ratings. What the Pro adds for the Rs. 8,000:
The NFC line decides it for most people. A phone that cannot tap to pay is a strange thing to buy at Rs. 60,000 in a country that pays by phone. The Mini earns its place only if one-handed size is the reason you are buying: it is 151.2mm tall against the Pro's 161.3mm, and 18g lighter.
The rival that costs Rs. 2,000 more.
Xiaomi 17T, about Rs. 70,000 for 12GB + 256GB. It has the longer lens, a 5x periscope telephoto, plus a newer Dimensity 8500-Ultra and UFS 4.1 storage. It has no wireless charging at all, an IP68 rating against the Reno's 3, and a smaller 6.59-inch screen. Our Xiaomi 17T review goes through it.
OPPO Reno15 C, the cheaper Reno, trades the cameras and the chip for a lower price; our Reno15 C review explains why its value case is thinner than it looks.
- You want 50MP or more on every camera, front included
- You want wireless charging and IP69 in one thin phone
- You pay by tap and use an IR remote: both are here
- Long zoom matters: 3.5x is short of a 5x periscope
- You want UFS 4.1 or Wi-Fi 7 at this price
- You want a compact phone, and can live without NFC
Buy. On published specification the OPPO Reno15 Pro is the rounded phone at about Rs. 68,000: 4 cameras of 50MP or more, 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, 3 IP ratings, NFC and an IR blaster, in 7.65mm and 205g, at the price it launched at 9 months ago. It does not win the zoom race or the storage race. It wins on having nothing you will regret leaving out. Between the 2 Renos, take the Pro unless your hand decides for you.
Nothing loud, nothing missing. The Pro is the Reno to buy.
The price is for the base 12GB + 256GB model, read from live listings at 2 major Indian retailers on 14 October 2026 and matching OPPO's own launch price; launch prices are labelled as such. The Reno15 Pro Mini is quoted at its launch price only, because we could not confirm a live price at 2 major retailers. Rival prices are live listings checked the same day. Specifications are confirmed against at least 2 independent sources each, led by OPPO India's own specification. Where sources disagreed or only one spoke, such as the peak brightness, the speakers and the reverse charging, we left the claim out. Our verdict is based on published specification, not hands-on testing: we have not held this phone.
